Events for March 2010
Fiat Freeze Out (Delaware Valley), Coopersburg, PA, March 6.
Contact: Shaun Folkerts
"Freeze-Out" social get-together, this year hosted by our own Mike and Judi Space at their wonderful home up in Coopersburg (between Quakertown and Allentown). The unique contemporary log-themed home was designed and constructed by the Spaces and is worth the trip all by itself. But in the garage down below the house, the Spaces have an impressive collection of old cars including a rustic-but-historic Volvo PV-544 and an original Mini Cooper that Mike regularly uses to terrorize local children and small dogs. But the real interest of the Spaces is in pre-Fiat Lancias, of which they have several, including the beautiful red Aurelia Spider that many of you may have have seen at local shows (including this past year's Fiat Freak Out). The Spaces will provide basic food (sandwiches or similar) and drink, and would request attendees contribute either a side dish or a dessert. They're footing the bill for the event themselves, so there will be no charge to attend. Mike says to arrive any time after noon. Those positively RSVPing (for accurate headcount) will be provided the address in a subsequent email. Please RSVP prior to March 1st if you can make it.

Simeone Museum visit (Delaware Valley), Philadelphia, PA, March 20.
Contact: Thad Kirk
Venue:Simeone Foundation Museum
Philadelphia,PA

Cost:12
We'll be returning as a group to the fabulous Simeone Foundation Collection in SW Philly as a joint meeting / get-together with our friends from DCFiats club. The date for this meeting will be Saturday, March 20th at 10am The only fee will be the admission fee to enter the museum. Those not familiar with Simeone, or those that have not yet seen the collection, are advised to check out their website at http://www.simeonefoundation.org/ to see what you're missing. One of the - if not THE - most impressive collections of vintage racecars anywhere, and it happens to be right here in our own backyard! After touring the museum, we will all head to a local restaurant (TBD) for more socializing and fun. Please RSVP prior to Saturday March 13th if you plan to attend as an accurate headcount is needed for reservations.
